ABOUT US
Fisher Ferry Water District was formed in 1966 to serve areas in south Warren County Mississippi that did not have a central water system. The area currently served is along Halls Ferry and Fisher Ferry Road areas and is approximately 34 square miles. We currently have over 1,700 connections and serve a population of about 6,000 along with several businesses and public facilities. The Water District is governed by laws of the State of Mississippi and is monitored for compliance by the Mississippi Department of Public Health.
The Water District purchased water from the City of Vicksburg for a number of years, but in 2005 put in service deepwater wells in the Sparta Sand formation. The water quality is good overall but requires some treatment.
